selling - the rules of consignment

First step would be to check through our extensive collection to see if your group dance costume is already posted.  If it is and you would like to sell your costume, please follow the instructions below:

• Send me your contact information.
• Which dance costumes you would like to add to our website and size that you have.

Once the information is received, you will be provided with a customer number.  When the item sells,  it must be delivered and meet quality standards.  Your costumes will be posted and we will make every effort to sell but make no guarantee.   reCREATE reserves the right to discount and marks down items at their discretion.  After one year the costume at our discretion will either be removed from the site,  placed on sale, or donated to charity if we are storing them.

If you can't see your group listed or would like to sell your own costumes on consignment please follow the instructions below:

Call or email to book an appointment.

All Dance Costumes must be washed (particularly armpits and undergarment areas).
Please make sure to check all costumes for tears, holes and missing rhinestones.
The following is always helpful when posting:

• Song that the costume was created for
• Designer (if known)
• Category that it was used for
• Size
• Age of the Dancer
• Price New (note that costumes are priced at roughly half the original price).
• You can also email me an action photo of your dancer in the costume, as this can be helpful for inspiration.

Once sold you will receive 50% of the final sale price excluding all taxes.  Accounts will be paid out the month following the sale of the item(s).  
All costumes must be gently used, custom created, competitive dance costumes.  No recreational or recital costumes will be accepted.  
After one year the costume, at our discretion, will either be removed from the site,  placed on sale, or donated to charity if we are storing them.
